Acoustics, Noise and Vibration Control Engineering
Vibration Control & Tuned Mass Dampers
Vibration, as perceptible mechanical vibration can be generated by many sources: transportation sources (subways), machinery within buildings (HVAC), people within buildings (dancing, aerobics) and even the wind can cause buildings to sway.
These vibrations can generate unwanted structure-borne sound, or in severe cases, cause damage to the structure itself.
Experience
SACL's experience includes a broad range of vibration control projects including the design of Tuned Mass Dampers. SACL was involved in vibration control for the complete project of the GM Windsor Transmission Plant. Additional experience includes complete responsibility of vibration control for the Kellogg Project 2000 Plant, London, Ontario
