Mechanical Noise Control

Mechanical equipment associated with air conditioning, cooling, heating, etc. can produce excessive airborne as well as structure-borne noise. Two main areas of mechanical noise control are HVAC noise and vibration control. This includes areas of silencer specifications, vibration isolation, room-in-room designs and floating floor specifications.

Experience

SACL has a number of years of experience in dealing with mechanical noise, there are numerous HVAC projects by the company. Of note is the HVAC noise control for the Oriental Theatre, which was fitted into very tight spaces of the 1920's theatre. Mr. Babic has come to SACL from a background of HVAC noise control. Mr. Babic has worked on projects including Pearson International Airport Terminal I, Canary Wharf London England, and Trillium Hospital.

Heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems are a standard source of noise in any building. They generate the basic background sound in most commercial buildings. The equipment, layout and airflow must all be considered for proper background levels in the building. SACL has a great deal of experience in HVAC noise. Staff has experience in the HVAC noise control manufacturing industry. Projects include the Oriental Theatre and Pantages Place.
