Swallow Acoustic Consultants Limited is an engineering firm specializing in acoustics, vibration and noise control.

With over 30 years of experience, Swallow Acoustic Consultants Limited staff are experts in acoustics, vibrations and noise control engineering, including; Industrial, Commercial and Residential noise control; Environmental noise control for industrial, residential and sporting events, including the preparation of Noise/Vibration Impact Study and Certificate of Approval (noise); Vibration control for buildings with particular emphasis on Railway Vibration, Industrial Vibration Control and vibration mitigation through the design of tuned mass dampers; Acoustics of public spaces including Lecture Halls, Courtrooms, Legitimate and Broadway Theatres.

John C. Swallow is the principal, with Pearlie Yung, Mihkel Toome, Allan Raun and Stephen McCann as associates. Professional relationships, long established, with other consultants in the areas of acoustics, signal processing, vibration analysis, studio and theatre design brings a broad range of expertise to client projects.

Mr. Swallow's thirty years of experience, includes a broad range of acoustics and noise projects. Areas of expertise include: theatres, cinemas, auditoria and studios, conference facilities, executive private and open offices, industrial facilities, teleconferencing, public spaces, residential buildings, vibration isolation of buildings, and vibration mitigation in buildings.

SACL project experience includes acoustic design, remedial analysis, co-ordination and supervision of acoustic consultants and other discipline consultants, supervision of testing and construction, expert opinion and expert testimony.

SACL maintains laboratory quality instrumentation for sound and vibration measurement, recording and analysis, computer software for environmental noise, prediction of room acoustics (ray tracing), system analysis, finite element analysis, and computational packages.

SACL is proud to be a member of The Canadian Green Building Council (CaGBC) - with several SACL engineers designated as LEED Accredited Professionals (LEED AP).
