Senior Acoustic Engineer

We are looking for a self-sufficient individual with great time management skills. The candidate must be able to manage multiple projects and have excellent written and verbal skills.

SACL Welcomes Mr. Jeremy Thorbahn to the Team!

Jeremy Thorbahn graduated in Physics from St. Francis Xavier University, and then received his Master’s from Dalhousie University. Mr. Thorbahn’s professional experience includes architectural acoustic design, site inspections, mechanical noise and vibration analysis, as well as measurement, prediction and control of environmental noise sources. He is a Licensed Professional Physicist registered with the Canadian Association of Physicists.

SACL Welcomes Mr. Brandon Van Haeren to the Team!

Brandon Van Haeren is a graduate of the Mechanical Engineering program at the University of Waterloo. Mr. Van Haeren’s professional experience includes inspection and testing of architectural acoustics and mechanical noise, as well as measurement, prediction, and control of environmental noise sources. He has experience in various acoustic projects, which include wind farm noise monitoring, spectral analyses of train frequencies, and building acoustics.

SACL Welcomes Dr. Fernando Tallavo to the Team!

Dr. Tallavo brings more than 10 years of research and consulting experience in the field of Acoustics, Noise and Vibration control to Swallow Acoustic Consultants Ltd. He holds a B.Sc in Civil Engineering (University of Carabobo), a M.Sc. in Earthquake Engineering (Central University of Venezuela) and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (University of Waterloo). He has published and presented several research papers in journals and international conferences. Before joining the company, Dr.

SACL Welcomes Mr. Martin Villeneuve to the Team!

Martin Villeneuve is a graduate of the Mechanical Engineering program at the University of Ottawa. Mr. Villeneuve’s professional experience includes review, inspection and testing of architectural acoustics, mechanical noise and vibration analysis, as well as measurement, prediction, and control of environmental noise sources. Mr. Villeneuve is fluent in English and French, and has delivered bilingual Acoustical Training Presentations to tradespeople on construction sites on several occasions.

SACL Welcomes Mr. Todd Busch to the Team!

Mr. Busch brings 20 years of consulting and academic experience in the field of Acoustics, Noise and Vibration control to Swallow Acoustic Consultants Ltd. He completed his Masters in the field of Mechanical Engineering, with emphasis on applications of acoustical scale modelling, which has historically been used to physically model the acoustics of performing arts spaces. He has published and presented several research papers in peer-reviewed journals and at international conferences.

SACL Welcomes Mr. Pier-Gui Lalonde to the Team!

Pier-Gui Lalonde graduated in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ottawa. Before joining SACL, he worked for a firm in Ottawa providing engineering services in Acoustics, Noise and Vibration control. Mr. Lalonde’s professional experience includes noise isolation of interior spaces, as well as measurement, prediction, and control of environmental noise sources. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer, registered with both the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario (P.Eng.) and the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (ing.). Mr. Lalonde is fluent in English and French.

SACL Welcomes Mr. Ryan Matheson to the Team!

Ryan Matheson graduated with honors in Applied Physics at the University of Guelph. He then received his Master’s in Applied Physics at the University of Waterloo, where he performed acoustics research under Professor Emerita John Vanderkooy and Stanley Lipshitz as part of the Acoustics Research Group (ARG). Research areas included low frequency optimization of sound systems in small to medium sized listening rooms and the development of properly modeled source terms in Finite Difference Time Domain simulations.
